Four Fosses and a Newty

Greetings Family and Friends,

We hope this blog finds you all healthy and happy and ready for a fantastic 2010! Thank you to everyone who sent us wonderful Christmas cards, letters and family pictures. We love reading them and looking at the pictures!

Well, 2009 was an incredible year!

Jeffrey Newton turned 7 years old in April and is doing well in 2nd grade. He loves art, dancing and singing, video games, Nanovar, playing soccer and gymnastics. He is hilarious and can read and write very well.

Carson Foss turned 7 years old in May and is doing well in 2nd grade. He loves Army, Star Wars, video games, playing soccer and gymnastics. He is very sweet, always has a smile and has a great sense of humor.

Evan Foss turned 13 years old in June and is doing great in 8th grade. Almost in High School!! Evan played Flag Football for Cooley Middle School this year in the Nose Guard position and assisted his team in winning the League Championship! He loved it and we are very proud of him. Evan loves playing with air soft guns (plastic BB gun) and playing Xbox 360.

Nichole started her new Treasury Management Consultant position at the "World's Greatest Bank" - Umpqua Bank! She loves it!! It is the best bank she has ever worked for!! She was able to travel 4 times to Portland for work! She is able to use her "paid volunteer time" to teach art classes in Jeffrey and Carson's 2nd grade classes and attend school field trips! Nichole also passed her Certified Treasury Professional test and enrolled in California Coast University to finish her Bachelor's Degree in 2010. Nichole and her partner Amy, have been successful in flipping 2 residential properties in 2009 and looking forward to more in 2010!!

Erik began expanding his client base signing great customers such as the Rivercats, Silicon Valley Power, Wells Construction, Watry Construction, Sierra Manufacturing and Maita Auto Group. He also began expanding Foss Marketing Group by bringing talented team members to the group. Caitlin Nevitt, Ashley Hanes, Kristine Sheridan and Becki Burt helped FossMG expand this year. Erik has been very busy redesigning the FossMG.com website that should be launched very soon! FossMG is looking forward to a successful 2010.

Erik and his "Never Say Never" band mates reunited and created a new band called ENESEN and have been practicing and building a studio for ENESEN to practice and record in. Keep your ears open in 2010... Follow their progress on Facebook or Twitter!

Erik and Nichole had a blast playing 3 seasons of co-ed softball together! We also enjoyed snowboarding and riding mountain bikes.

Our family took a few vacations this year. First, Erik and Nichole went to Kauai for a week in July. It was amazing to spend a whole week together, driving around in a jeep, relaxing on beaches and eating and drinking at wonderful places with fabulous views! Then in August, Erik and Nichole took Evan, Jeffrey and Carson to Tahoe to spend a week in our cabin. It was a lot of fun kayaking on the lake, building sand castles, playing in the arcade and mini-golfing. In September, Nichole and Aunt Diane took a trip to Eugene, Oregon. It was a blast!! In December, Nichole snowboarded on Mt. Hood during a business trip to Portland, Oregon. It was beautiful!

Erik is flying up to visit his Dad in Anacortes, WA in January. Our 3rd anniversary is coming up on February 14, 2010.

Our Foss/Newton Family is looking forward to a fantastic 2010!!

We wish you and your families the very best for this new year!

Greetings family & friends...

We have decided to begin a blog and e-mail it to those interested!

Overall, 2008 was great! The kids are healthy and happy, Erik's business is booming, I was offered a new job at Umpqua Bank, and we went on several great vacations...

Jeffrey and Carson are both 6.5 yrs old, in 1st grade and doing very well. Evan is 12.5 yrs old, in 7th grade and is growing like a tree! He is already taller than me!

In July, all five of us went to Lake Tahoe to visit our time share. We had a blast, watching a movie outside, kayaking, hiking to Vikingsholm, playing in the sand and water and trying to relax.

In October, my step-father passed away and we were very sad. He missed my Mom so much and it was very difficult for him. As a result, my Aunt Diane and cousin Aimee and I went on 2 road trips to Oregon! They were so fun and full of interesting story's! GDMFBSSOB!

In December, Erik and I went to New York for 4 days! We painted the city red! We visited everything we possibly could including the Empire State Building, Time Square, a Broadway Show, Statue of Liberty, etc. No rest there!!

Great December news, my step-mom bought a house and my sister turned 18!

For Christmas, Erik's Mom took us to Disneyland and California Adventure! It was soooo fun. Disneyland is so beautiful for the holidays. Our favorite rides were The Holiday Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, Screamin' California, Soaring Over California, Tower of Terror, etc. Erik's Mom was going with us the whole time - what a tough individual! Thank you again Nana for your generousity!

Well, I will close for now and hope to catch up monthly in 2009! We wish everyone a Happy New Year full of joy and prosperity!
